Entre Los años 1954 y 196o el rock and roll alcanza su mayor apogeo especialmente en norteamerica, pero tambien rapidamente entra en decadencia por la comercializacion del mismo, irrunpen una serie de personajes que aportan poco al desarrollo del genero, en cuantos a los ya mencionados Bill Harley, Little Richard, Fats Domino, Jerry lee Lewis, Chuch Berry, Elvis Presley llamado el rey del "rock and roll" y otros pocos dejan huellas.

Rock And Roll Primeras Grabaciones

Una opinión de Muddy Waters, "El Rhythm and Blues" tuvo un hijo y lo llamaron Rock And Roll, las primeras canciones importantes datan de 1954 y 1955 dejando claro que no hay conceso de cual es la canción llave que abrio la puerta de la mansión llamada rock.

En ese marco de tiempo nacieron cuatros exitos "that's all right (mama) Elvis Presley, "Rock around the clock" Bill Haley, "Maybellene" Chuck Berry y "Tutti frutti" Little Richard. Rolling Stones declaro unilateralmente la de Elvis como la primera, en mi opinión personal me inclino por la que mas me gusta "Rock Around the Clock" de Bill Haley incluido en la pelicula semilla de maldad (Blackboard Jungle).

Dos hechos importantes el término "rock and roll" fue utilizado por primera vez por "Alan Freed" en el programa de radio "Moondog Rock 'n' roll party" y segundo en 1954 Leo Fender puso a la venta la guitarra eléctrica stratocaster, que se volveria sinónimo de Rock And Roll.

Hablar o escribir de la historia del rock es un tema complejo donde se puede encontrar distintas opciones del mismo genero propiamente tal, la idea de esto es iniciar una discusion por encontrar sus raices, fuentes, sus distintas etapas, evolución, lo que ha influido en las vidas de distintas generaciones.
El Rock and roll nació como tal en la Década del 50, pudiendo observarse, sin embargo, elementos propios de este género en producciones de Rhitythm and Blues (R&B) que datan incluso de los Años 20. En los orígenes del rock and roll existía una combinación de elementos de Blues, Boogie woogie, jazz y rhythm and blues. El género también estaba influenciado por géneros tradicionales como el Hillbilly, la música folk de irlanda, la úsica gospel y la música Country. Regresando aún más atrás en el tiempo, se puede trazar el linaje del rock and roll hasta el antiguo distrito five Points de Nueva York a mediados del siglo XIX, que fue el escenario de la primera fusión entre la música africana fuertemente rítmica y los géneros musicales europeos inclinados a las melodías.

Tosca - No Hassle

No Hassle es un álbum muy recomendable y, además, los seguidores de Tosca pueden adquirirlo con toda tranquilidad porque tienen asegurada una hora de placer, así como otras muchas horas cada vez que lo vuelvan a poner en el reproductor. El dúo vienés no decepciona y, como en él es habitual, entrega una obra maravillosamente producida que eleva la creación de música atmosférica/ ambiental a la categoría de arte sublime. En las manos de Richard Dorfmeister y Rupert Huber, el trip-hop downtempo alcanza unas cotas de expresividad y seducción rara vez escuchadas. Tras Opera (1997), Suzuki (2000), Delhi 9 (2003) y J.A.C. (2005), No Hassle es el quinto logrado álbum de estudio de Tosca, a lo que hay que sumar, para completar una interesantísima discografía, varios atractivos recopilatorios de remezclas.

Tosca - Opera

Tras tres 12" editados en los dos años anteriores, el dúo Tosca debutaba con Opera (en el que recopilaban los temas incluidos en los 12"), un celebrado álbum que les situaba en la elite mundial del trip-hop. Tampoco puede hablarse de sorpresa, puesto que uno de los dos componentes del grupo es nada menos que Richard Dorfmeister (mitad de K&D), un superdotado de la música. Opera es un muy sólido debut que hará las delicias de todos los seguidores de Kruder & Dorfemeister (la concepción del trip-hop es muy similar, por lo que el sonido de ambos dúos difiere poco), lo que garantiza que este álbum está destinado a convertirse en un clásico de culto.

Tosca - Suzuki

"Suzuki" es el segundo álbum de Tosca, el proyecto musical de Rupert Huber y Richard Dofmeister.

El Disco puede ser interpretado como un tributo a Shunryu Suzuki, maestro de la meditación Zen. Por supuesto, que no hay que ser entendido en temas de meditación para apreciarlo. Se podría calificar como una tormenta pacífica, música que rompe alrededor de un centro inmutable, golpes ingeniosos y musculares, fusión de entradas analógicas y digitales. Evidentemente no es un trabajo convencional de trip-hop. "Suzuki" crea ambientes que te llevan al climax y relajantes.

Se ha cometido un crimen. La víctima es el jefe de familia y la culpable es, necesariamente, una de las ocho mujeres que le rodean: la suegra, la cuñada, su esposa, sus dos hijas, su hermana, la cocinera y la sirvienta.
¿Cuál de ellas tenía un móvil para asesinarle?.
Atrapadas en la casa y privadas de la posibilidad de pedir socorro, inician entre ellas una investigación al más puro estilo de las novelas de Agatha Christie.
Interrogadas al efecto, cada una sostiene una verdad y una explicación de su intervención en los hechos, configurando su posición en la intriga.
Entonces, una de las versiones cae y, como una cascada, se derrumban la de todas las demás, cambiando incluso la forma en que veíamos a estas mujeres: nadie es realmente como pensábamos que era.
Pero no es cosa de desesperar: ante el nuevo escenario, las historias y verdades se reacomodan, se reconfiguran, y cada quien vuelve a sostenerse sobre ambos pies y con la frente, más o menos, en alto.
Y acontece un tropiezo. Una imperdonable incongruencia. Y las caretas, todas, vuelven a caer concatenadamente, sepultando y cambiando ¡una vez más! la visión que teníamos de los personajes.

Continuamos con la gran era Motown, esta vez le toco el turno a uno de los grandos: Smokey Robinson & The Miracles es un grupo pionero del rhythm and blues de Detroit (Michigan), famosos por ser el primer grupo en grabar para la discográfica Motown, a partir de 1960. El líder de The Miracles, Smokey Robinson, se convirtió en el vicepresidente de Motown. Entre 1965 y 1972 el grupo se llamó Smokey Robinson & the Miracles.Además del rhythm and blues desarrollaron otros estilos, como Doo Wop (actualmente Lauryn Hill lo suele utilizar como base en sus canciones), soul y disco.

Leela James

Leela James, cantante estadounidense de Neo-Soul y Blues con una fuerza de voz descomunal que con cada canción se puede apreciar puro soul. Desde pequeña se inspiró en el soul de los '70 principalmente. Su primera incursión musical fue en 2002, trabajando en el álbum de Norman Brown. En 2004 comenzó a crear su álbum debut junto a figuras del R&B como Kanye West, Raphael Saadiq, James Poyser, Chucky Thompson y Wyclef Jean. En 2005 se editó "A change is gonna come", título tomado del tema de 1964 de Sam Cooke. El primer single, el cual salió meses antes que el disco, fue "Good time", al cual le siguió "Music", que consiguió colocarse en el top10 de la mayoría de listas de ventas estadounidenses, en su disco podemos encontrar versiones como "Don't Speak" de No Doubt y joyas como "Didn't I" o "Ghetto" de entre las 19 canciones incansables de escuchar en su discazo "A change is gonna come", sin duda Leela será una de las grandes divas.

Chrisette Michele

Cantante y compositora Chrisette Michele Payne (nacida en 1985 en Nueva York), conocida profesionalmente como Chrisette Michele, es una cantante R&B americana. Ella ha colaborado en álbumes de populares hiphoperos, como Kingdom Come de Jay-Z y Hip Hop Is Dead de Nas. El año 2007 lanzó su disco debut, titulado "I Am" con grandes canciones como "Good Girl" (realmente una joya para tus oídos). El disco generó críticas excelentes por parte de la prensa especializada, adicionalmente recibió nominaciones a los Grammy’s, posiblemente Chrisette sea una de las mejores discípulas de la gran Chaka Khan o Jill Scott.

Solange

Solange Piaget Knowles (nacida en el 24 de junio de 1986) profesionalmente conocida como Solange es una actriz, cantante R&B, compositora, productora, modelo y bailarina. Solange nació a la sombra de su hermana mayor Beyonce Knowles, durante los tiempos de las Destiny's Child hubo una ocasión en que Beyoncé no pudo actuar en una actuación a causa de un doloroso y problemático problema (concretamente... tuvo una rotura de un dedo del pie) entonces Solange la tuvo que substituir en esa actuación y descubrieron que se le daba tan bien como a su hermana pero se casó a los 17 años de edad, lo que le hizo dejar de lado dejar de lado su comienzo en la carrera musical hasta el 2001 que sacó su primer disco llamado "Solo Star" con el se mantuvo en buenas posiciones en las listas de Billboard, después de eso Solange tuvo un hijo y no le quedo más remedio que aparcar la carrera musical (curiosamente se ve a Solange embarazada en el video de "Soldier" de las Destiny's Child del disco "Destiny Fulfilled" del 2005), al pasar un tiempo... Solange decidió divorciarse y grabar nuevo disco que se títula "Sol-Angel and the Hadley St. Dreams" con un estilo único del Soul de la decada de los 50, 60 y 70 con toques dance pero sin exagerar, un disco perfecto para escucharlo de paseo por la calle o en viajes largos con el coche.
